During the civil unrest in the Downtown LA area following the No Kings protest in June, much of our surrounding area was marked by vandalism. Broken windows and graffiti were visible over a large swath of the Civic Center and as far south as the Convention Center. The impact on our Industrial District was limited to Third and Fourth Streets. This allowed our Clean and Safe Teams to lend assistance to our BID partners who had greater damage. On Sunday, June 15 our teams painted over more than 10,000sf of graffiti and helped both Chinatown and the Historic Core BIDs with clean up.
