We began our annual tree trimming in March and we will be out on the streets for the next several weeks tackling the canopy growth that bleeds onto power lines and presents dangers to pedestrians below.  We do this in a way that preserves the shade we enjoy during hot summer months and that keeps temperatures of the concrete below bearable.  We want to thank the small army of people who help us trim trees, especially the majestic ficus trees on San Pedro Street, allowing us to trim all of our trees safely and without harm to anyone living on the street and with minimal impact on traffic and pedestrians.  This small army of people includes personnel from LAPD, LA Sanitation and the Department of Transportation.  We thank them all for their great help.
