For a second time in a year, BID personnel played significant roles in saving victims from a residential fire. On March 21, an apartment building at the corner of Stanford and Agatha showed flames coming from one ground floor unit window. Our Clean Team pressure washing unit was nearby and immediately began dousing the flames with water. Our Safety Team followed quickly behind, entering the building and going door to door to alert anyone still inside to evacuate. Our team also grabbed an emergency fire hose located in a hallway to fight the fire until firefighters arrived. Once again, the BID office served as the Red Cross emergency operations center to help residents obtain emergency shelter. We are extremely proud of our safety and maintenance teams for their quick reactions and courageous actions.
